Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library Selected as a Finalist in the Architizer A+Awards
OvS’ work at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library has been selected as a finalist in the Architizer A+Awards for the Architecture + Landscape category. The project is one of five to be selected worldwide for the Popular Choice Vote.
Entries were juried by distinguished luminaries from diverse fields such as design, technology, real estate, fashion, and more. Finalists and award recipients are recognized as the year’s most influential designs.
OvS developed amenity spaces at street level and on the rooftop, along with 26,000 square feet of intensive green roof for the re-imagined library. The firm is honored to be have collaborated with Mecanoo and OTJ Architects on the renovation on the iconic Mies van der Rohe structure that honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
